The Experience

A simple, stress-free process from initial inquiry to products in your hand!

If you love the final photos I deliver but don’t love the experience behind them, I haven’t done my job! When you look at your newborn photos, I hope you’ll fondly remember your experience with me! I prioritize communication, connection, and clear expectations throughout the process, so you’ll know exactly what to expect each step of the way.

THE PROCESS

Let’s break it down!

Step 1: Paying your session fee. Pre-Payment, & Studio Meet

To book a session, a $250 fee is required to hold a spot for you in my calendar. This fee covers up to 3 hours of continuous coverage, a make up day in case your baby doesn’t sleep for their session, a pre-session consultation, access to my entire studio (Thats right! I provide everything for your session! Such as props, backdrop blankets, a few simple outfits, swaddles, headbands and more!), a prep guide to make the session go as smoothly as possible, and you also get a reveal session back at the studio where you will see your edited images for the first time in an adorable slideshow! This fee does not include any images or products as they are sold separately. To view my Collections, just keep reading!

After reading through this guide and booking your session, the next step is to book a consultation with me (over the phone or in person) to discuss your needs, your pre-payment plan, get to know each other, and chat about which collection is right for you. If you have the time to do your consultation in person, this is where you'll also get to pick out everything for your session such as props, colors for baby, and what backdrop you'd like for your family portraits. What is a pre-payment plan you ask? A pre-payment plan is where you will pay off your session before it takes place in small amounts. This payment can be made weekly, bi-weekly and monthly! It is a requirement to book and dates can be customized. You can also pay upfront via Afterpay (pay in 4) and Paypal Credit!

Step 2: Let me know that your baby has arrived!

After your consult session you'll be advised to let me know when your baby arrives! Because babies like to be born on their own time, the date that is booked is always mama's due date. (Rarely ever will I do sessions on the baby's due date). After the baby is born you’ll contact me within 24-48 hours to let me know that everyone is well and we will move forward in getting you all into the studio before baby is 2 weeks old. Because I do soft bookings, its recommended to book your newborn session in advance as much as possible, as I am only able to hold a certain amount of spots per month for newborn sessions.

Step 3: Get Prepped

After your date has been selected for portraits I will send over my detailed Pre-Session Direction guide that has loads of helpful information on how to make the newborn shoot go as smoothly as possible! It will also have details about what is best for parents and siblings to wear if theyre interested in jumping into portraits with the brand new baby!

Step 4: Newborn Session

It’s time to capture this special, fleeting season with beautiful photos! The studio will be nice and warm and ready for you when you arrive to my studio! We will always start with parents and siblings first and siblings are welcome to leave (or stay!) after their portion of the session is done. The remaining part of the shoot will be focused on baby alone. After all, they are why you are coming to see me!

Step 5: In-Person Viewing Session

14 days after your session you’ll come back to my studio to see your baby’s ADORABLE images via slideshow! You will get at least 40 beautifully edited images with black and white copies as well as film edits. You can scroll down to the bottom of this page to see what my editing is like and what to expect as far as skin and background edits go. This reveal session is where you will pay for any Collection upgrades or items on the Al la Carte Menu! I do offer several different payment plan methods if you’d like to go that route, so please be sure to inquire about them ahead of time if you’re interested!

Step 6: Product Delivery

If you choose a collection with an album or wall art, you will get your digital images the day of your reveal, but in the meantime I will be putting together album slides for you to approve, getting your wall art order put together and sharing your images on social media! I have the BEST wall art company. The products are hand made with love and ethically sourced in the Netherlands! I will do all the print work for you so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy your new baby!

My baby is already born, can we still do a newborn session? Yes.

Can I bring sentimental items from home to be photographed with the baby? Yes.

Does my baby have to take naked pictures? No. We can keep them clothed or swaddled.

What if my baby has a NICU stay? We will get together for their session as soon as they are home.
